Residence Halls

Living in the residence halls provides some of the most memorable moments of your campus experience. MSOE has three residence halls: Loock Hall, Johnson Hall and Regents Hall. Each hall has both single and double rooms on each floor. Residents may choose which hall they would prefer to live in. However, Regents Hall and single rooms are typically available only for upperclassmen.

Meal Plan and Dining Options

Students will have access to unlimited meal plans allowing them to eat when they want and as much as they wish in MSOE’s Dining Commons. The unlimited meal plan program is a robust program and means that students can enjoy as much or as little as they need to stay healthy and focused without worrying when and how to dine. The venue is currently under construction with a completion date of in the fall of 2020. The space is designed to support student programming and collaboration while offering enhanced dining options in conjunction with the selection of a new food service vendor and meal plan programming.

7-Day, Resident Meal Plan – $1,380 per quarter/$4,140 per academic year

Students who live in one of MSOE’s Residence Halls and honors students living in the Tower will be required to take the 7-Day, Resident meal plan. Using this plan, students eat in the Dining Commons when they want and as much as they wish from Monday – Sunday during operating hours. This plan is also available to students who live off-campus

5-Day, Commuter Meal Plan – $990 per quarter/$2,970 per academic year

Students who are commuters have the option of taking the 5-Day, Commuter meal plan. Using this plan, students eat in the Dining Commons when they want and as much as they wish from Monday – Friday during operating hours. This plan is also available to faculty and staff.

Block Meal Plans

Faculty, staff and commuter students have the option of purchasing meals in blocks under MSOE’s loyalty program. Block plans are active for the academic year from the time of purchase through the last day of the spring quarter. No refunds will be given for unused blocks.

  • Block 110 - $605 (best block plan value of $5.50 per meal)
  • Block 80 - $480 (block plan value of $6.00 per meal)
  • Block 65 - $423 (block plan value of $6.50 per meal)
  • Block 25 - $175 (block plan value of $7.00 per meal)

Day Pass – $20 per Day

Day Passes will be available upon request in the Dining Commons offering non-meal plan holders unlimited cafeteria access over a full operating day.

Door Rates

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night door rates will also be available to all during operating hours. A la carte and grab-and-go items will also be available for certain items.

Dining Commons Hours of Operation

The Dining Commons will be open for full meal service from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Limited services will available between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
