Job Description
As a STEM Lab Instructor at the on-campus MSOE STEM Center, you will support evening programs as an instructor and mentor for coding clubs and other STEM initiatives. This is a great opportunity to impact and support youth with an interest in STEM while building leadership and technical skills.
You can work anywhere from 1.5 - 16 hours per week and all hours are between 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. As of November 2022, our highest need is for instructors from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
STEM Lab Instructors are provided all of the curriculum and are responsible for managing students progression through the course and answering questions. All coding courses leverage an online platform that helps students troubleshoot their code and progress at their own speed.

- Looking for a part-time job during the school year that includes making a positive impact in Milwaukee and helping K-12 students have a great experience with STEM
- A positive role model and wish to help K-12 students through STEM topics
- Able to self-direct your work and commit to a regular schedule during each academic term (changing as your class schedule changes each term).
- Familiar with one of the coding languages we teach - Python, JavaScript or block-based coding like Scratch - or willing to learn the basics
- Comfortable leading a group of up to 20 students with a co-instructor in STEM topics
