2018 Opportunity Conference highlights academic prowess
High school students put their computer, math and science skills to the test during Milwaukee School of Engineering’s annual Opportunity Conference series in November. A total of 104 teams competed at the OP Conference events, which give high school students the opportunity to demonstrate excellence in academic pursuits. Congratulations to the winners:
OP Conference Computer Competition (67 teams/268 students)
1st place: Homestead High School (Team A), Mequon, Wisconsin
2nd place: Brookfield Central High School (Team D), Brookfield, Wisconsin
Third place: Whitewater High School (Team C) Whitewater, Wisconsin
OP Conference Math Competition (21 teams/167 students)
1st place: Homestead High School, Mequon, Wisconsin
2nd place: Marquette University High School, Milwaukee
3rd place: Brookfield Academy (Team 1), Brookfield, Wisconsin
OP Conference Science Competition (16 Teams/120 students)
1st place: Eisenhower High School (Team 1), New Berlin, Wisconsin
2nd place: Vernon Hills High School (Team 1), Vernon Hills, Illinois
3rd place: Arrowhead High School (Team 2), Hartland, Wisconsin
