Jill Meyer, Ph.D. has been appointed assistant vice president of institutional effectiveness at Milwaukee School of Engineering. In this role, she will lead MSOE’s initiatives to use research and data analysis to guide strategic planning, decision making, assessment and institutional improvement, as well as efforts related to regional accreditation, university compliance and reporting, and institutional research. Meyer also serves as MSOE’s accreditation liaison officer to the Higher Learning Commission. She most recently was the executive director of institutional effectiveness at Mount Mary University. Prior to that she was an assistant professor in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at UW-Milwaukee, where she helped to establish the biomedical engineering program.

“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Meyer to MSOE’s academic leadership team,” said Dr. Eric Baumgartner, vice president of academics. “She brings a significant amount of experience and critical skills to this position that will be important to the development and implementation of MSOE’s strategic planning efforts.”

Meyer earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics with a minor in computer science at St. Norbert College and went on to earn her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from UW-Madison. She has worked as a research assistant at both UW-Madison and the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. She held internship positions at Zimmer Inc. and the Mayo Clinic.
