Dr. Matt Schaefer recognized by ASEE for outstanding teaching
An associate professor of mechanical engineering at MSOE will be honored later this month for a paper he wrote about his innovative approach to teaching statistical process control.
Dr. Mathew Schaefer is the recipient of the American Society for Engineering Education’s 2016 Outstanding Junior Faculty Award in the Manufacturing Division.
The ASEE is a nonprofit organization made up of individuals and institutions committed to furthering education in engineering and engineering technology. The organization annually recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of engineering and engineering technology educators.
Schaefer will be honored for his paper, “The Card Wager Assignment: Betting Homework Points on Statistical Process Control”, during the ASEE Annual Conference June 26-29 in New Orleans.
