Josh Hertzog recently joined MSOE’s Marketing Communications Department as the director of digital marketing. In his new position, Hertzog manages MSOE’s digital marketing efforts and website development.

“As we continually look to build and expand the reach of the MSOE brand, I’m excited about the ideas, experience and leadership Josh brings to our web and digital marketing efforts and I am looking forward to him joining our team of marketing professionals,” said Saj Thachenkary, vice president of marketing and community engagement.

Hertzog previously served as a team leader at Bader Rutter. Here he worked with teams to strategize and manage marketing campaigns for a multitude of clients. Hertzog has additional experience working at advertising agencies across Milwaukee, including Hoffman York, Cramer-Krasselt and Boelter + Lincoln.

At MSOE, Hertzog leads and directs the university’s digital marketing efforts, including the MSOE website content and social media accounts. He is responsible for building new web pages and serves as a resource for web and digital enhancements. Hertzog also develops and executes strategies to grow and maximize online optimization and conversions to support business goals.

“I’m excited to join the Marketing Communications team and continue to advance the university from a digital perspective,” said Hertzog.

Outside of MSOE, Hertzog is a mentor for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Additionally, he serves as a board member and coach for Whitefish Bay Little League and Junior Blue Dukes Baseball. Hertzog holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
