MOOCs are topic of IEEE conference at MSOE
MSOE will host an international gathering of industry experts and academics Oct. 23-25 during the 2019 IEEE Learning with MOOCs conference.
Organized by the IEEE Education Society, the IEEE Milwaukee Section and MSOE, the conference promotes networking and technical dialogue for educators and industry professionals designing massively open on-line courses (MOOCS).
MOOCS are learning platforms delivering high-quality content to hundreds or thousands of simultaneous users. This IEEE conference provides academic and industry professionals the opportunity to discuss research into MOOC technologies as well as the practical aspects of creating and offering MOOCs to diverse worldwide audiences. Now in its sixth year, LWMOOCs is a respected international forum to collaborate, share, network, learn and display the latest advances in MOOCs.
Dr. Russ Meier, MSOE professor of electrical engineering and computer science and IEEE Education Society president, played a key role in arranging the conference where 60 attendees are expected. The conference is open to MSOE faculty and students as well.
