MSOE was named one of the Top 25 Engineering Schools Ranked by Salary according to Design News. MSOE was ranked 25th on the list with an early career pay of $67,000 and mid-career pay of $116,100. According to Design News, 50% of MSOE alumni say their work makes the world a better place.

MSOE was the only Wisconsin university that was ranked. Other leading U.S. engineering schools on the list include Illinois Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
