MSOE is 6th Best Bang for the Buck college according to Washington Monthly
MSOE is the sixth Best Bang for the Buck in the Midwest according to Washington Monthly’s annual College Guide and Rankings and 60th in the nation in its Master’s University Rankings for 2021 (up from 88th in 2020).
The publication’s list of America’s Best Bang for the Buck Colleges is an exclusive list of schools ranked according to how well they help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices. Their ranking of Master’s Universities recognizes institutions that award a significant number of master’s degrees but few or no doctoral degrees.
Washington Monthly rates schools based on what they do for the country. It ranks four-year schools (national universities, liberal arts colleges, baccalaureate colleges, and master’s universities) based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research, and providing opportunities for public service.
Some contributing factors to MSOE’s rankings included an 8-year graduation rate of 64%, 79 Pell graduates, and more. View the 2021 College Guide and Rankings.
