Paul Matson has joined Milwaukee School of Engineering as its new vice president of finance and CFO, effective June 20, 2022. Matson succeeds Dawn Thibedeau, who retired from the university after nine years of service.  

Matson is an established leader in finance and accounting, having previously served as the CFO and controller for several manufacturing, distribution and service organizations with global reach and revenues ranging from start-up to $600 million. He has experience at privately held and Fortune 500 companies as well as non-profit organizations, most recently as corporate controller and treasurer at Versiti Inc. Prior, Matson held leadership roles at EFCO Corporation, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Pioneer Hi-Bred International (DuPont), and Waste Management International.

Matson has an MBA from Washington University (St. Louis) and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Indiana State University, and has completed executive programs in product introduction and marketing strategy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Matson is a Certified Public Accountant.
