MSOE Theatre Troupe presents Stardust
The MSOE Theatre Troupe presents Stardust this weekend! Stardust is a comedy about drama students at a small university who are awaiting a famous artist who will guest star in one of their plays. In this wonderful spoof of The Method, and even Actor’s Studio itself, the students are all trying to “live” their art. The director is very conscious that he studied under Stanislavsky and reminds the students of this fact at every opportunity. Into this madhouse comes the famous actress. To the dismay of all, she is a normal, hard-working girl who teaches the students that there is no substitute for hard work and good sense.
Performances will take place in the Todd Wehr Auditorium, 1047 N. Broadway, on Friday, Jan. 29, and Saturday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m., followed by a matinee on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. Admission is free for MSOE students and general admission is $5 at the door.
MSOE’s Theatre Troupe acts as an outlet for individuals to express their creativity, leadership skills, and escape from everyday life. Theatre Troupe is one of more than 70 student organizations on campus, and presents theatrical productions at MSOE throughout the year.
