For the sixth straight year, MSOE is the Best Value College in Wisconsin (31st Best Value in the U.S.) according to a study by SmartAsset. It is the only private university in the state to be named a Best Value College. MSOE also took top honors in Wisconsin for graduates having the highest average starting salary (43rd in the U.S.).  

The 2021 study compared top performing schools on a variety of data sources and ranked them as a result of their performance in categories including scholarships, starting salary, tuition, living expenses and student retention rate.
