New leaders help guide MSOE
Dr. Dan Moceri ’76 has been elected chairman of the MSOE Board of Regents. He is cofounder and executive chairman of Convergint Technologies, a global systems integrator organization with 2,400 employees. He is also a partner in Moceri + Roszak, a Chicago-based real estate developer. Moceri holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology and Honorary Doctor of Engineering from MSOE and earned his master’s degree in management from Northwestern University. He succeeds Dr. Scott Moon as chairman. Moceri became a member of the MSOE Board of Regents in 2013. He sits on numerous boards including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Prior to starting Convergint Technologies, Moceri was the president of Siemens Building Technologies Security Division for North America.
Patrick Forsythe, executive VP – global engineering, Generac Power Systems Inc., and Michael Reader, president of Precision Plus, were appointed to the MSOE Board of Regents.
Forsythe has held his position at Generac since 2015. Generac is the leading manufacturer of home backup generators. The company manufactures the widest range of power products in the marketplace including portable, residential, commercial and industrial generators. Forsythe previously served as vice president of global engineering and technology at Hayward Industries (2008 to 2015), VP of global engineering (2004-2008) and director of engineering (2002-2004) at Ingersoll Rand Company. He worked in various engineering management capacities with Generac from 1995 to 2002. Forsythe holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ulster (United Kingdom), a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Manufacturing Management & Technology from The Open University (United Kingdom).
Michael Reader has been president of Precision Plus since 1995. His company manufactures precision machined metal components for industrial, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, dental and medical device manufactures. Precision Plus is an ISO 9001:2008 registered contract manufacturer of precision turned components that specializes in Swiss-type turning. Previously, Reader worked in the commodities market, as global operations manager at Bank of America, in operations at London Investment Trust and Barnes and Company. He earned a bachelor of science in economics from UW-Madison. Reader served as an MSOE Corporation member since 2014, until his appointment as a Regent.
