New report by Georgetown University touts ROI of an MSOE degree
There are more than 4,500 colleges and universities in the United States, and for high school students looking to further their education it can be a daunting task to narrow down which schools they should consider. A new online tool from the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW) ranks every college and university in the nation based on College Scorecard data in an effort to help students and parents with their post-secondary education decisions.
Milwaukee School of Engineering is at the top of the list of all colleges and universities in Wisconsin in “Ranking 4,500 Colleges by ROI (2022).” MSOE also leads the lists when comparing all colleges and universities in Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota, to name a few. This is the second report issued by CEW, and the second time MSOE held its position at the top. Overall in the nation, MSOE is 60th.
The net present value of a degree from MSOE is:
- 10-year: $211,000
- 15-year: $532,000
- 20-year: $822,000
- 30-year: $1,324,000
- 40-year: $1,735,000
