The Chinese Student and Scholar Association at MSOE celebrated the Chinese New Year on Feb. 15. More than 100 students, faculty and staff attended the fourth annual event, which was filled with authentic Chinese cuisine and culture.  

Chinese New Year marks the beginning of the new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. This year it began Feb. 5 and is the “Year of the Pig.”  

MSOE’s Chinese Student and Scholar Association serves as a way for Chinese and Chinese-American students to celebrate their heritage and share their culture with the MSOE community. Senior mechanical engineering major Xikun Han is the group’s president, and Dr. Wujie Zhang, associate professor, is their advisor.
