We protect our homes, businesses and vehicles, but we do not always think about our data and our online presence. In the digital age, it is just as important to protect your data as it is to lock your car.

In this course, we will focus on the basics of information security by examining network level security, wireless security, mobile device security, online dangers (such as social networks) and physical security. Throughout the course, we will look at how easy some of these attacks are and how you can defend against them.

You will see demonstrations on how to perform recon on a company as well as an individual. After performing basic recon, we will look at different ways to address the company as well as the individual.

Upon completion of this course, you will have a better understanding of how an attacker looks at a company and an individual as potential targets. You will also gain a better understanding of how to protect yourself online, as well in the real world, from different attacks.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop to follow along with the demonstrations.
