Dr. Eric Baumgartner,  MSOE

Dr. Baumgartner is the executive vice president of academics at MSOE. He provides strategic leadership and direction for all of the academic programs and academic support units across campus.

Prior to joining MSOE, he served as the dean of the T. J. Smull College of Engineering and professor of mechanical engineering at Ohio Northern University. He previously was a senior member of the engineering staff at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, where he contributed to the Mars Exploration Program including the Mars Exploration rover project (Spirit and Opportunity rovers) and the Mars Science Laboratory project (Curiosity rover). He is the recipient of a NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal and was recognized with the 2008 IEEE Robotics and Automation Award.

Baumgartner also taught at UCLA and Michigan Technological University. He holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the  University of Cincinnati a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a certificate from the Institute for Educational Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Kyle Buerger, MSOE

Kyle is a transformational leader with over 20 years of business experience, 15 of which were spent at Northwestern Mutual a Fortune 100 company. He currently works at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee as an Instructor in the Lubar School of Business and at Waukesha County Technical College in their Corporate Training Center as a Leadership Development Consultant, Trainer and Coach. Kyle specializes in the following areas:

  • Training development and execution
  • Business and sales consulting
  • Digital readiness and adoption
  • People Management
  •  Multicultural markets engagement

As a certified coach and trainer, he has helped both individuals and corporations maximize their potential. His customized leadership development programs and coaching focus on developing next level leadership competencies, engaging and retaining talent, optimizing your culture and planning for the future. Kyle is driven by a strong desire to help others succeed which provides the passion and energy he brings to everything he does.

Scott Hrdlicka, MSOE

Scott Hrdlicka is a strategic marketing executive with expertise in building & executing global B2B & B2C brand strategy, marketing strategy, channel strategy, digital strategy, e-commerce, SEO, & digital and marketing over the past 18-years. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science Engineering Management, and Bachelor of Technology Management.

Latasha Langdon, MSOE

Ms. Langdon holds an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University and Bachelor of Science degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering. She has over 15 years of corporate work experience with top 500 companies and is an active volunteer and mentor to youth and young adults. Ms. Langdon has over 20 years of experience providing life strategies to over 1,000 youth and young adults from all backgrounds and ages. She is the creative owner and founder of Divine Destinies Life Skills, LLC. She is Scrum Master, Project Manager, Entrepreneur and Teacher. She holds a PMP as well as certifications in SAFe, Six Sigma green belt and Lean certificate.

Andrew McAninch, Ph.D., MSOE

Assistant Professor of Philosophy in MSOE’s Department of Humanities, Social Science, and Communications. Before arriving at MSOE, he was an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where is also spent a year as Program Director with the Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law (CERL) at the Penn Law School. He works in moral philosophy, broadly construed, and regularly teaches courses in engineering and professional ethics, biomedical ethics, social and political philosophy, philosophy of mind and AI, and epistemology.

Stacy Novinski, MSOE

Stacy Novinski has been involved in Supply Base Management at Harley-Davidson for 14 years - responsible at times for  various areas: supply management, product development, and quality. Prior to his time at H-D, Stacy was involved in operations at Trek Bicycle with responsibility for paint as well as global supplier relationships. In his past, Stacy also has worked as a supplier for large OEMs including Kawasaki, Suzuki Polaris and Case New Holland. He brings a unique perspective from both ends of the supply chain.  He also serves as a lecturer for graduate programs at MSOE.

Michael Vieau, MSOE 

Michael is a managing consultant with Sikich.  Michael takes great pride in furthering his education to maximize his value to clients. His academic background augments his already extensive experience in the the information technology, healthcare and manufacturing industries. His familiarity with these fields makes him an excellent resource for organizations looking to tackle compliance mandates from NIST to CIS and beyond. 

When he's not working diligently on consulting, you can find him heads down studying new exploits, giving talks at events like DerbyCon or teaching up and coming infosec professionals as adjunct associate professor at MSOE.

Michael has a master of science degree in computer, information and network security from DePaul University. In addition, he holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications.
