Recommended Courses (First-Year Students)
- High school level studies:
Math: 4 years
Science: 4 years (Including chemistry and physics)
English: 4 years - MSOE requires a cumulative 3.0 minimum GPA.
- Pre-calculus REQUIRED for all majors except nursing
Admissions Process
Any student interest in MSOE should take these next steps:
- Apply today! You can apply through our website or through the Common App.
- Send in an official copy of your high school transcripts. Transcripts can be mailed, emailed to explore@msoe.edu or sent through a third party (e.g. Naviance, Parchment, Common App, etc.).

- MSOE is test optional and does NOT require the ACT or SAT. If you choose not to send one or have not taken the ACT or SAT, you will not be at a disadvantage in the decision-making process. However, you are still welcome to send current or past scores if you'd like.
- File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). The FAFSA is available beginning October 1. MSOE encourages all eligible students to file the FAFSA so they can be awarded the maximum amount of aid they are eligible for. Learn more about filing the FAFSA.
