Student Pathways to Flourishing in the Health Professions aims to cultivate curiosity, character and leadership in aspiring healthcare professionals.
Health care is evolving faster than ever—and it needs leaders who can think across disciplines. The Bachelor of Science in Health Innovation, offered through a unique partnership between MSOE and the Medical College of Wisconsin, prepares students to improve health care systems for patients, providers and communities by combining health science, technology, data science, artificial intelligence (AI) and business principles.
This interdisciplinary program empowers students to become innovators, problem-solvers and change agents in a rapidly transforming industry.
Today’s health challenges are complex—and solving them requires more than clinical expertise alone. The B.S. in Health Innovation prepares students to:
Students choose the pathway that best aligns with their goals—whether that means graduate school or entering the workforce.
This option allows students to earn both a B.S. in Health Innovation from MSOE and a master’s degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in five years.
How it works:
Students who begin in the 4+1 pathway but decide to enter the workforce after earning their bachelor’s degree will receive a graduate certificate from Medical College of Wisconsin after completing 12 credits of graduate coursework during their senior year.
Students who plan to enter the workforce after completing their bachelor’s degree can pursue career-focused preparation during four years of study at MSOE.
These tracks prepare students with practical, in-demand skills for a wide range of health innovation roles.
The program is made possible by the generous support of MCW Flourishing, through a transformative investment from the Kern Family Foundation.
