Health Professions Explorers Pathway Format

MSOE has partnered with the Medical College of Wisconsin to introduce students to a variety of health-related pathways including bioethics, global health, public health and pharmacy. Students have the opportunity to explore flourishing in health professions, and to develop as thought leaders and change agents in a rapidly evolving industry. They will learn how data science and AI are used in health professions beyond patient care and to address disparities and fragmented care. Students also will be encouraged to adopt a systems thinking approach to connect disciplines, understand complex interactions, and design more effective, population-level interventions.

An advisor helps students create a custom plan and supports students throughout their academic career. Students will take undergraduate classes at MSOE and by their senior year will have chosen a path that includes graduate classes at MCW that can lead to a graduate school program, also at MCW.

You may want to consider the Health Professions Explorers Pathway if you…

  • Desire a career in health but aren’t sure which discipline is right for you or if you want to directly care for patients
  • Enjoy analyzing data and using it to solve future problems
  • Want to use A.I. to improve the accuracy and efficiency of health professions
  • Want to address disparities and fragmented care
