Classroom Technology and Audio-Visual Services
The Audio-Visual Staff offers AV a wide variety of media resource support and technical assistance to our college staff, faculty, and students who request Audio visual equipment for an event, instruction and administration.
Services include the following:
- Support the use of permanently installed AV systems in classrooms and labs including Touch Panel control systems, automated control of projection and flat-panel display devices, document cameras, and traditional AV equipment.
- Delivery of AV equipment to classrooms, labs, and meeting rooms not already equipped with installed equipment
- Checkout to faculty and staff for college-related business
- Service and repair to AV equipment
- AV system design
- Review instructional spaces for reconfiguration/refresh
Equipment and event support requests Staff and Faculty
It is important to make requests at least 72 hours in advance. When making a request, email Helpdesk@msoe.edu, subject AV Services and specify exactly what equipment is needed, the room, date, and start/end time of the class.
For all events you must first contact the. They can answer questions about room availability and suitability. You must then contact AV Services with any equipment needs. For weekend events, after hours events or those requiring extensive audio-visual equipment, you must contact AV Services at least two weeks in advance
Students should contact Student Life regarding room reservations and event coordination. After getting approval from Student Life, please contact Helpdesk for AV Services with your equipment needs.
Email Helpdesk@msoe.edu with all equipment requests as far in advance as possible and keep us informed of any changes or cancellations. When making an equipment request, please include the exact date, start/end time, and location of the event.
Users of AV equipment can receive instruction from AV staff on how to operate items of equipment. Certain equipment, such as portable sound systems, must be operated by AV staff.
Users can request an AV staff member to provide support for their event. The staff member will provide equipment set up, operation, and tear-down services. Request for AV staff assistance must be received at least 5-7 days before the scheduled event. This allows time to arrange for staff member availability, and equipment availability, as well as to ensure all requests are tracked appropriately. Events may be arranged by sending the below form via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At times users have trouble with technology due to malfunction. These incidents may be reported directly to AV via phone at (414) 277-7288
